Gangula Kamalakar: Minister for BC Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs of Telangana

Gangula Kamalakar is an Indian politician who is serving as the Minister for BC Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs of Telangana. He is a member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).

Kamalakar was born on 8 May 1968 in Karimnagar district, Telangana. He studied B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and worked as a contractor before entering politics. He joined the TRS in 2009 and was elected to the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation in the same year. He served as the Mayor of Karimnagar from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, Kamalakar was elected to the Telangana Legislative Assembly from the Karimnagar constituency. He was re-elected in 2018. He has held the portfolios of BC Welfare, Food & Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs since 2019.

Kamalakar is a popular leader in Telangana and is known for his work in the field of social welfare. He has been instrumental in implementing several schemes for the welfare of the Backward Classes (BCs). He has also been working to improve the quality of food and civil supplies in the state.
